Good question. Most “Chinese” you see on international are often Taiwan/HK/SG/MY players (Traditional Chinese), not necessarily mainland. They can access the international client normally without VPN. Mainland players can still join using overseas store accounts or if they’re living abroad (VPN sometimes helps).
